Field Testing and verification of seven "Round 1" BETV-SAM technologies Field testing of the round 1 technologies began in July 2006.
Following consultations with the Project's Technical Expert Committee, all verification reports were finalized in August 2007.
Technology Performance Monitoring of technologies that were provisionally verified in the ETV-AM Program Following severe monsoon-related flooding and Cyclone Sidr in 2007, field monitoring gets underway in February 2008
Pilot testing begins, in selected upazilas, of the Water Safety Plans issued for the technologies that were provisionally verified in the ETV-AM Program July 2008

Completed in the fall of 2009
Field Testing and verification of Round 2 BETV-SAM technologies Began in December 2008

Verification process for Round 2 was completed, verification reports were finalized in consultation with the Project's Technical Expert Committee. Verification certificates were issued for successful Round 2 technologies in November 2009.
Full Verification of the technologies that were provisionally verified in ETV-AM Program Following the long-term performance monitoring program for the provisionally verified technologies, the technologies were awarded full verification.
End of Project Workshop An end of project workshop was held November 22-23, 2009.
BETV-SAM Project end date BETV-SAM Project operations ceased in Bangladesh at the end of December 2009.
ISO 17025 accreditation The BCSIR Analytical Research Laboratory was awarded international certification in ISO 17025 for selected water quality parameters that are especially relevant to arsenic technology verification, and other groundwater arsenic mitigation work.
Post BETV-SAM Project BCSIR has maintained a verification capability, post-project, and is prepared to verify arsenic removal technologies that are submitted for verification by their proponents.
