Q: Can any technology be sold in Bangladesh for arsenic removal?
A: No, only technologies with verification certificates from BCSIR can be sold. Verifications of candidate arsenic removal technologies took place under the ETV-AM Program and BETV-SAM Project. BCSIR was equipped with the knowledge and skills required to conduct performance verifications of arsenic removal technologies that are presented to BCSIR after this Project was completed.

A: As of November 2009 (the close of the BETV-SAM Project), six arsenic removal technologies had passed the verification process and been awarded verification certificates by BCSIR.
