Bangladesh Enviornmental Technology Verification - Support to Arsenic Mitigation

Four ETV-AM Technologies With Verified Performance Claims

MAGC/Alcan media based technology:

This is a household (designed to produce a minimum 45 litres per day potable water) based treatment unit that operates by the user manually adding water to the bucket based system containing the media (please see verification report (PDF) for actual verified performance).

Read-F:

The Read-F technology is technology designed for use in households needing a minimum of 45 litres of potable water a day (please see verification report (PDF) for actual verified performance).

Sono 45-25:

This is a pour through filter for one household use, designed to provide at least 45 litres per day potable water (please see verification report (PDF) for actual verified performance).

Sidko ADSORPAS Granular Ferric Hydroxide Technology:

This is a community size technology which uses a pump to pass water through the filter, and designed to supply a community (defined as 50 families) with a minimum of 2,250 litres potable water per day (please see verification report (PDF) for actual verified performance).

Technology Monitoring Stage:

The four (4) arsenic removal technologies which obtained Provisional Verification under the ETV-AM Project are undergoing [2008] technology performance monitoring for a one-year period in order to qualify for Full Verification.

Water Safety Plans (WSPs) for Provisionally Verified ARTs have been drafted based on which long-term regulatory water quality monitoring and surveillance plan of ARTs will be designed (see Water Safety Plan).
